DAM Skilling Recorded 16 Hours Training

DAM Skilling is an applied programme for administrators, coordinators, contributors, managers, reviewers and operational users.

The Admin pathway focuses on governance, operating standards, workflow oversight, metadata quality, escalation and accountability.

The Applied pathway focuses on interpreting requests, accepting work, preparing outputs, managing revisions, responding to review decisions, understanding promotion and completing controlled handover or release.

Participants work with EA, EEA and NA request logic and learn the crucial distinctions between submission, approval, official registration and promotion. The course also examines user readiness, onboarding, support, workflow measures and the costs of incomplete requests, delayed reviews, repeated corrections and uncontrolled releases.

DAM Skilling addresses a common implementation failure: technology may exist, but users do not understand roles, decisions or workflow states. The course builds operational capability around requests, work, review, promotion, catalog and controlled release.

Course scope:
DAM Skilling develops practical capability in DAM roles, requests, assignments, work outputs, review, approval, promotion, release and handover. It does not constitute live production-system implementation, customer data migration, formal workflow certification, platform administration, or ongoing managed operational support.

Best suited for
* DAM or digital-content coordinators
* contributors, reviewers and approvers
* Project managers and workflow managers
* Marketing operations and creative-production teams
* Group administrators and asset custodians
* Personnel responsible for requests, assignments, review, approval, release and handover
* Teams preparing to operate within a structured DAM workflow

Participants will learn how to:
* Explain requester, contributor, manager, reviewer, Group Admin and release responsibilities.
* Assess whether roles and responsibilities are clear enough for operational DDAM use.
* Identify the information required for complete and actionable asset requests.
* Apply EA, EEA and NA logic: Existing Asset, Edit Existing Asset and New Asset.
* Distinguish request intake, assignment, active work, submission, review, revision, approval, promotion and release.
* Understand that submission is not approval and approval is not official registration.
* Explain how promotion creates an official or requestable asset.
* Apply naming, metadata, version, status and evidence discipline throughout workflow.
* Identify weaknesses in handovers, escalation, review and release control.
* Assess user-training, onboarding, support and change-management needs.
* Identify useful workflow measures such as request completeness, revision frequency, approval turnaround, asset reuse and release accuracy.
* Determine whether the organisation is ready for Growth workflow, managed onboarding or deeper implementation planning.

Readiness outcome
Workflow administration and coordination readiness. Participants can coordinate requests, assignments, reviews, approvals and releases while maintaining role clarity, governance and operational visibility.

DAM Skilling Admin develops the practical skills needed to participate in a structured digital asset workflow. Participants practise submitting requests, accepting assignments, preparing work, responding to feedback, supporting review and completing controlled release activities.
