DAM Core Intensive is a fast-track course for teams that need the essential DDAM method and practical application in one focused programme. Participants examine how poor folder structures, ambiguous filenames, missing metadata, duplicated versions and unclear ownership affect retrieval, collaboration and deployment. They then apply essential improvements to a sample environment and prepare a short action plan covering people, process, content, governance and technology.
The programme introduces asset inventory, audit and migration-readiness concepts without presenting itself as a formal consultancy engagement. It also helps participants distinguish immediate working-practice improvements from deeper implementation needs. The pace is intentionally concentrated. Organisations requiring extended discussion, deeper exercises or a full facilitated Training Lab should consider DAM Core pathways or DAM Savvy instead.

DAM Core Intensive reduces the need to attend separate foundation courses while preserving the essential link between standards and application. It is particularly valuable for mixed-role teams preparing for a time-sensitive improvement initiative.
What participants will learn?
Participants will learn how to:
• Assess an existing file and asset environment for structural weaknesses
• Convert disorganised folders into a clearer and more practical structure
• Apply naming, metadata, tagging and version-control standards to realistic materials
• Identify duplicates, outdated files and incorrectly stored assets
• Apply access, security, compliance and ownership rules
• Practise review, approval and controlled asset-handling activities
• Prepare a practical DAM improvement plan for their team or organisation

Best suited for:
* Fast-moving teams
* Mixed manager and user groups
* Organisations pursuing time-limited improvement
* Refresher for operation users
Readiness outcome
Participants move beyond theory by applying core DAM standards to realistic file, folder, metadata and governance situations.
Course scope
DAM Core Intensive combines essential DAM principles with accelerated practical application. It helps participants identify improvement priorities and apply foundational standards, but it does not include a comprehensive organisational audit, full asset clean-up, technical migration, platform implementation, or customised implementation plan.
Recommended next step
Progress to:
* DAM Skilling to develop practical workflow, review, approval and release capability
* The Training Lab for facilitated hands-on application in a controlled environment
* A separate DAM readiness or discovery discussion to identify implementation priorities
