DAM Savvy 3 Days Training Course

Learn It, Practise It and Plan the Right Way Forward

DAM Savvy is the complete Train Evolution DDAM learning journey.

Day 1 builds the shared method: folder structure, naming, metadata, versions, access, security, workflow, collaboration and governance.

Day 2 applies those principles through a scheduled, facilitated Training Lab using chaotic inputs, group working, submission, review, EA/EEA/NA requests, promotion, catalog and controlled release.

Day 3 steps back into a guided appraisal and planning discussion covering current assets, stakeholders, readiness gaps, costs, migration preparation, user adoption and future solution direction.

The programme helps participants understand what a formal audit would examine and what must be prepared before content is moved into a new environment. A guided DDAM Portal demonstration may be included where appropriate, but the programme is not an unrestricted product trial and does not automatically include implementation or permanent access.

Move from DDAM understanding into guided practical application and high-level readiness planning. DAM Savvy helps teams learn the method, practise it in a facilitated Training Lab and assess what must be prepared before implementation or migration.

What Participants Will Learn

  • Explain the complete DDAM method and its business value.
  • Assess the organisation’s digital asset environment at a high level and identify where assets are stored, controlled and used.
  • Recognise duplicated, obsolete, incomplete, uncontrolled or high-risk content.
  • Understand what asset, content, metadata, workflow, governance and technology audits examine.
  • Identify structural, naming, metadata, version, ownership, access and searchability gaps.
  • Estimate the cost categories involved in discovery, cleanup, taxonomy, technology, migration, integration, training, administration and support.
  • Apply DDAM disciplines during facilitated Day 2 Training Lab activities.
  • Understand submission, review, approval, promotion, catalog and controlled-release logic.
  • Apply EA, EEA and NA thinking in practical scenarios.
  • Assess asset, people, process, governance, technology and financial readiness.
  • Understand migration-readiness requirements: inventory, duplicate review, rights, standards, mapping, pilot, testing, retrieval validation and acceptance.
  • Identify what should not be migrated and avoid moving existing disorder into a new platform.
  • Select a potential pilot area and define high-level success measures.
  • Prepare a high-level readiness and next-step roadmap covering training, audit, cleanup, portal discovery or managed adoption.

DAM Savvy reduces the risk of buying technology before the organisation understands its assets, standards, workflow, users and migration needs. It gives mixed-role teams a shared foundation, practical exposure and a clearer route toward entry-level, managed or full-scale DAM.
